9th – 12th Grade Youth
The Sr. High Youth and Family Ministry caters to youth currently in grades 9-12 and their families. Our main programs for Sr. High youth consists of weekly Sunday school classes, weekly Sunday activities in the afternoon or evening, Wednesday evening gatherings, weekend retreats, summer high adventure trips and service opportunities during Spring Break.
ELCA National Youth Gathering (July 18 – 22, 2012) in New Orleans. Registration for the event is now closed.
The ELCA National Youth gathering is sponsored by the national church every 3 years. 39,000 Lutherans descend on the city from all over the world to worship, participate in service projects, attend concerts and listen to outstanding speakers.
For those youth who have registered, the cost of the trip will be $600 per youth, which includes registration, hotel accommodations and travel to and from the event. A deposit of $150 and the registration form was due October 2nd. Further details will be sent to the registered students as they become available.

Faith Formation
Join us for a New Series of Youth Faith Formation, “LIVE”, through ’Simply Youth Ministry’. This series will allow youth to cultivate community; explore God, self, and the world around us; and connect with God’s Word. We will meet in the youth room. The gathering time begins with food and fellowship from 9:45 to 10:00 a.m. which then leads into a lively discussion lead by one or more of the teaching team leaders…Nick, Courtney, Deb or Josh.
Sunday Night Activities (SNA)
Food, Folks, Fun and Faith are mixed into every Sunday night gathering. Meet at the church at 5:45 p.m. unless stated otherwise for any or all of the listed activities below:
February 12th: 5:45PM – 8:00 PM High School Youth Night — Gather at church for dinner, fellowship, and discussion.
February 19th: High School Service Trip — Worship & Meal with the Homeless. Trinity Center, Downton Austin 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM. An incredible service opportunity to share in worship, meal and fellowship with some of our homeless “neighbors” in Austin. We will serve the homeless in Austin by worshipping with them and preparing a meal for them. We will need a couple musicians to help lead the worship service, so please let me know if you are interested in playing an instrument or singing. After worship, we will serve the meal to those gathered and eat together with them. This is going to be an incredible service opportunity to share in worship, meal, and fellowship with some of our homeless “neighbors” in Austin.
