The Austin Employment Group designed for the unemployed, underemployed, and individuals considering a career change, meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Re-Member - Facilitated by Jean Springer – Eremos (A unique 4 part series offered at a time different from the usual meetings.)
February 21, 2012; 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. SonShine Room; Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
With the loss of employment comes loss of identity, loss of relationships and loss of security. You are invited to pause to:
- Re-member self & discover the language of soul before responding to employment demands
- Reflect on your fears, anxieties, and guilt to move through them before trying to fit back into an employment culture
- Imagine a ‘mosaic’ of shared images, metaphors, experiences within a safe environment.
- Create bridges between your vocation and your occupation
If you have any questions, contact Pastor Heidi Schwerdtfeger-Jones (heidi@shephills.org) or call 327-3370
Eremos
EREMOS offers what many people in America today seem to lack: an opportunity to rest, pray, reflect and experience a “peace the world does not know’. The pace of life, the stress of work, conflicts in families and our communites, all take a toll physically, emotionally and spiritually. Within EREMOS silence is healing, sharing is respectful and reflective, and attention is turned toward the presence of spiritual growth.
